Reflection WK4

Time is limited, this is always haunt in my brain. I feel my life like a train, never can not stop, always run and run. Exams is coming, lots of taskd needs to finish and practise, I put all my enetgy into the study . Use time reasonablely  and effectively is the key of last stage.

VOCABULARY

I usually check and learn new words by my e-dictionary in the internet. Now. I paste my new words  from my new words book during recent time. If  you want to check them, only click the picture , the you find a clear big picture.

I completely agree with your idea, that u said English and Economy are relate to each other, like many students come to another country to study or improve there English language that is automatically support economy. How? if they can use English Language very well that means they can conduct business or economy easily with other nationalities. Another reason that because of English language is lingual franca.

In my opinion, I have two aspects opinions to this matter. Firstly,  English play an important role in modern society. As a communication tool, people use English in signing most contracts and agreements in the international trade. In addition, many international economic organizations use English to contact with every countries and solving problems between different countries. Secondly, just talking about by itself, English is g huge industry in education around the world.  Nowadays, diepite being a required course in compulsory education in a country, it is clear that there are  host number  of English training schools in every countries and gain a substantial profit every year.  In conclusion, modern economic cannot seperate with English.

English is the lingua franca of our time. In my opinion, there are two reasons push English become lingua franca. The first one is that the domination of English-speaking countries such as USA,British and other countries have economy advantages over the world. Especally for the USA , having a abilibty to speak or read English might benefits people to do business with the American.The second reason is that English is easiler than other languages to learn for other countries' people.and English also easy to write. For example, Chinese words, it is hard to write for foreign, people write some word need more time than English.In addition , English is spoken widely in the world and being used not only in business but also in academic field for hundreds of years and it has become the most commonly way for people come from different countries to communicate. These reasons might explain why English is the lingua franca of our time.

English as a lingua franca for a long period, since some English-speaking countries have been a  dominatnt position in world economy, politictis ,and so on. In modern society, English become one of most popular communication tools.  It is clear that many countries use Enghlish as their official language. In addition, in other countries ,although English is not an official languag, but Enghlish is still speaked by substatial people as the second foreign language. In China, it is a popular phenomenon after you graduated, you try to apply a job in  foreign commpany ,the frist two questions by  the personal manager usually are  English profiency and abilities of using computer.  A another pominent example is that you ask the Chinese students which course they have spent the most time on during the college, the asnwer would be English.  To sum up,  due to the increasing importance of English in many field,  today English is the most famous lingfra franca around the world.

Reflection WK3

This is a busy week, I only remembered that I was always doing homework and writing a lots.  I wrote the essay of critical response , I wrote my blogger,I collected and wrote exact meterials of oral presentation, when I  practised my listening  I wrote some note-taking ,and I wrote  e-mail in English to my friends, and so on.

I have a srong feeling about studying in E7,not only should spent more time to work hard , but also have correct ways of leearning. It is worth to spend much time to consider how can have good ways to learn English.

In week three, we finished our first test of wring is E7, I make some ridiculous mistakes in the spelling of  words.  At that time, I was rushing to finish my essay, I do not have enough to check spelling errors. However, my spelling is absurd I am really sorry to my teachers. 

Reflection WK1-2

Time is so fast. The first week our class changed many teachers and at the same time we enjoyed different teaching styles. But we had not certain direction about E7 at that time.

The week two, our permanent teachers give us many practise of essay. At first, I think the critical response is  easy. However, my essay was low standard when it was finished. I realised the problems and focus on the structure and try understand it. Even my essay still exit some problems up to now. but I think I am clear about structure. Also,after two weeks studying, I find E7 is difficult actually. I always feel sleepy and lacks enough sleeping times. Finished the the writing test of the first one, I feel I still have a lot of work to do.

Listening is the my weakest skills of English study. This morning we finish a listening practise about 'Frech is one of lingra franca'. This article is very difficult to listen and to understand. I should have spent more time to enhance my listening abilities.

One interesting thing is that I always was against the topic accidentally in the class speaking task this morning. Now, even it is on my turn to comment, I will be for the topic because my previous classmate is against the topic. The more interesting things, I find all the classmates opinions are very interesting and strong. Well, according to what Rice said, his grandmother does not need to study English because her life is not related to English. However, if Rice decides to live in Australia permanently, and his benevolent grandmother wants to live with him, knowing a bit English would make her has a more happy life. Moreover, , in her age, knowing a little English will be an amazing thing in China, maybe his grandmother is going to be a celebrity in her community. All in all, learning English should not be a burden, it would better to be an interesting thing sometimes, even elder people.

It is my comment in the discussion board. Actually, i think my opinion is not very academic.  however, because it is too late and I am very sleepy since I got into E7. So, I write a little funny things in the discussion board. I hope our teachers do not feel unhappy with my comment.

doing homework

Our teachers told us, in E7, the importing things are listening and reading aspects. Finished my homework, I fell that is true, the reading is far more diffIcult than before. And listening, need a vast number of practise to master the skills of note-taking. Busy time~~~.

strategies for reading and goals

in this period, maybe I will pick up and prepare for lots of materails  about wring tasks.
understand the structure of the critical essay and  organise the essay.
finally, make my vocabs close to academic writing in the essay.
reading
in limit time to finish the reading test practice.
practise and recall the a vast number of vocabs and theirs pronunciation, and the same time , try my best  to use them in the sentence.
listening
doing  many note-taking practice. listening the BTN and some useful chanels.
insist day and day practice, and believe the effect is efficient.
speaking
in daily life, as many as possible to use English to communicate other people.
focus on oral presentation, do more practice.

after finish above task, maybe I think I will be successful in E7.
